I don’t often use this space to promote other writers, but today I found a short story — in The Atlantic Monthly’s Fiction 2010 issue — that is so lovely, I wanted to use my blog to share it.
Stuart Nadler is a new name to me, and evidently a new writer: he’s recently graduated from the Iowa Writers’ Workshop. He will also soon publish a volume of short stories. I can’t wait to see if the others live up to the promise of this one.
But let’s get to it, yes? Please read the story of a father, a son, and a rainy day’s drive. Enjoy Visiting, by Stuart Nadler.
I liked this one, too. Not surprised we’re reading the same stuff!
